Athol Forestry Cooperative Limited was established in 1977 as a cooperative of private woodlot owners in northwestern Nova Scotia. Athol employs a staff of dedicated professionals who work on behalf of the members to manage and develop their woodland. With more than 225 members, Athol Forestry manages in excess of 20,000 ha (50,000 acres) of privately-owned forested land.
The cooperative provides a wide array of forestry services to landowners, including woodlot management plans and forest improvement treatments (planting, thinning, harvesting, etc.) based upon the landowner’s values and goals. Athol Forestry provides consulting services to both members and non-members such as forest evaluation, wood marketing, re-establishing boundary lines and measurement.
Our outlet retail store located in our office building, caters to those who work and play outside. We provide forestry and safety supplies, HDPE culverts, clothing and footwear. We offer quality products from manufactures such as Royer, Dunlop, Helly Hansen, Dickies, Pioneer, Viking, Husqvarna and more.
