Athol Forestry Cooperative Limited was established in 1977 as a cooperative of private woodlot owners in northwestern Nova Scotia. Athol employs a staff of dedicated professionals who work on behalf of the members to manage and develop their woodland. With more than 225 members, Athol Forestry manages in excess of 20,000 ha (50,000 acres) of privately-owned forested land.
The cooperative provides a wide array of forestry services to landowners, including woodlot management plans and forest improvement treatments (planting, thinning, harvesting, etc.) based upon the landowner’s values and goals. Athol Forestry provides consulting services to both members and non-members such as forest evaluation, wood marketing, re-establishing boundary lines and measurement.
Our outlet retail store located in our office building, caters to those who work and play outside. We provide forestry and safety supplies, HDPE culverts, clothing and footwear. We offer quality products from manufactures such as Royer, Dunlop, Helly Hansen, Dickies, Pioneer, Viking, Husqvarna and more.

Ian joined Athol in 2011 as General Manager. Ian brings a wide variety of knowledge to Athol from mechanical engineering to sales, as well as personal experience with his own woodlot. Ian has avid interests in hunting, fishing, trapping and spending time with his family.
Angela returned to retail after several years away. She enjoys helping Athol's customers find exactly what they are looking for. A mother of three and a grandmother of two, she sometimes come to work for a rest.....
Jordan graduated from the University of New Brunswick in the fall of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry after graduating from the Maritime College of Forest Technology in Spring of 2019.

With 15+ years of bookkeeping & office management experience Heather became an entrepreneur and started her own bookkeeping business. She joined Athol Forestry in July 2015 as Financial Administrator. Heather enjoys knitting, reading, camping and spending time with her family.
